How do I get to Quillabamba?
Quillabamba is located in the Cusco region of Peru, about 200 km north of the city of Cusco. The most common way to reach it is by road — a scenic drive of about 6–7 hours that crosses the Andes and descends into the tropical cloud forest. There are daily buses and shared vans (“colectivos”) from Cusco to Quillabamba, or we can help arrange private transportation for your group.
Is there an airport in Quillabamba?
Currently, there are no commercial flights to Quillabamba. The nearest airport is in Cusco (Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport), where most travelers begin their journey before continuing by road.

What should I bring for the tours?
We recommend comfortable walking shoes, light clothing for warm days, a jacket for cooler evenings, sunscreen, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle, and any personal medications. For hikes or nature tours, bring a hat, rain protection, and your camera!
Do I need to be in good shape for the tours?
Most of our tours are suitable for anyone with a moderate fitness level. Some treks involve uneven terrain or higher altitudes, so let us know your preferences and we’ll match you with the right experience.
Are meals included?

When is the best time to visit Quillabamba?
The best time to visit is during the dry season, from May to October. During this time, you’ll enjoy warm, sunny days and clear skies. However, Quillabamba’s tropical climate makes it a pleasant destination year-round.
Do I need to speak Spanish?
While Spanish is the main language in the region, our guides speak both Spanish and English. We’ll make sure you feel comfortable and understand everything during your experience.
